Carving your own stamps! How amazing is that? You've done a superb job with the beautiful poppies in the next post, Marleen. Well done indeed! Beautiful.
My guess is that you definitely have to check your carving tools in your luggage. I'm sure they wouldn't let you take them on board. Stamp carving never appealed to me but some people have a lot of fun with it. My mom carves wood. She says it is relaxing. I am sure it is the same with stamping.
